I don't read German but it's just a mix of white vinegar (Weißer Essig), salt (Tafelsalz), and dish soap (Spülmittel).
OK thanks. I remember putting diluted vinegar on the soil of my house plants against a certain type of fly breeding there.
"Nettle broth" is more a fertiliser anyhow.
Damn. This has been on my todo list for a few weeks now... Thanks for reminding me!
Make sure you triple rinse that thing
It's dedicated for weeds but I'm not clear why I would need to. There's nothing toxic/harmful to people or animals in it.
Good on you for making a weed killer that is not horrifying.
There’s not much that kills weeds that doesn’t have some impact on humans, animals, or particularly fish.
Mostly just a dull safety step. You know what it was used for but some unsuspecting person may come along and use it (maybe you were hit by a meteor) for some other chemical that may react with the leftover herbicide residue.
But, practically, different herbicides can be used to selectively target specific weeds. You don't want to be trying to treat dicots but still have some monocot-affecting herbicide or, even worse, glyphosate left over in the tank/pump.
Today is a weed? Are you spraying tomorrow as well?
Probably every day we have lots of sun this week. A single spraying isn't usually enough.
