Yes, art should be preserved when possible and shouldn't be intentionally destroyed. But not all art could even be preserved, it just isn't possible.
These type of videogames (and most types to be fair) are not art, only consumer products.
Hitler was an artist. There are plenty of bad artists that shouldn't have work preserved.
