Been out of the loop for a while, how is the game today compared with when it was released?

Hi anyone, I have been reading about the Reddit saga today and I am wondering how is the game changed compared to when it is released? I remember a lot of complains about the game is broke and lots of bugs back then, and I didn’t get the game back then.

  • Wait a couple of months. once the DLC releases, the game will have it's 2.0 update, which will add in and change a lot of features.

As it stands right now, The game is great. I love it, then again, I loved it even with all of it's Day 1 flaws. I completed the game on the day 1 build. It's come a long way since then, and the 2.0 update + DLC is the most hyped i've been about any game since Fallout 4 was announced.

  • It was amazing for me on an old PC, the look and feel and gameplay made me finish the game and I rarely do that. I only saw like one bug the whole time I was playing. I bought it about 2 months ago.

  • I played it first on PS4 at release and then about a month ago on a modern PC. Obviously there is a bit of a time gap there, but I can tell you it is worth playing on PC. The game is still not what it might have been, or what it was in my head before release, but it's mostly a decent game.

I stopped playing when they announced the changes coming with the new DLC, planning to pick it back up and restart at some point after that release. So it's obviously not a "I have to play this right now" game for me but gets a light recommendation.

  • It's a game with great highs and terrible lows. It has so much potential and good moments in it that then get ruined by some bug or just badly designed content, or tedious inventory management, nonsensical scaling or sth like that. I still love it because frankly there's nothing else like it out there, but if you held off this long I'd recommend waiting until the phantom liberty patch releases since that one is supposed to address a lot of core gameplay issues.

  • It somehow runs worse on my PC now than at launch. I used to get 30 fps on my 8 year old pc with a gtx980 on high settings at launch now im lucky if I get 20fps on medium with constant CTD
