Shucked has announced it will close on Broadway Sunday, January 14, 2024. A North American tour will launch Fall 2024, as well as productions in London’s West End at a Cameron Mackintosh theater Winter of 2025, and in Sydney, Australia in the Spring of 2026.

Shucked has announced it will close on Broadway Sunday, January 14, 2024. It opened on Broadway in 8 March 2023 after a season in Salt Lake City 2022.

Sad to see this show closing, as it's a good-humoured, good-hearted show that I really enjoyed. After Kimberly Akimbo, I thought it was the best new musical of that season... so the second best new musical of that season. Excited though it's coming to Australia.

Update: The producers are looking at moving to another Broadway house according to The Hollywood Reporter:
The show’s producing team, led by Mike Bosner, is looking to move to another Broadway theater, if one becomes available after [it closes at the Nederlander Theatre on 13 January 2024]. That may be a tough proposition, given the many spring shows that have already been announced or are waiting in the wings.
