What's your favorite Sunday dinner?
I tend to have some more free time on Sundays so I was hoping to start making some nicer and fancier diners.
I'd say I would have about 90 minutes or so that I could dedicate to prep time (or if it needs prepped the night before like a marinade that's fine too) and pretty much as long as it needs for cooking too.
What's your favorite meal to make on your weekends?
Sous vide fish or steak.
Slow bbq pork ribs.
I do sous vide fish and chicken all the time.
But BBQ ribs, that's an idea. Might bum my dad's smoker for an afternoon 🤔
My friend's parents would make breakfast for dinner on Sunday nights. I always love an excuse to make breakfast.
I have a picky kid so dinners have gotten pretty basic over here. I used to make a crazy 'world's best lasagna' recipe that required some time. Like all sorts of cheeses, that thing was gooooood.
Something I've never made but would love to try is like a Beef Wellington or something.
Hmmm. You should send me that recipe, lasagna is exactly the type of thing I'm looking for! I made enchiladas last weekend.
Not too hard (I'm not a good chef), takes too long for a normal night, spends some time in the oven so I can do other chores

You can get pretty fast at spatchcocking a chicken and getting it ready to roast.
My favorite is a lemon pepper chicken over mushroom risotto. Feels fancy, doesn't break the bank, is easy to pull together, and doesn't leave many dishes.
I've found that meal delivery kits are perfect for this situation, though they typically require a commitment of cooking at least 3 days a week. I like how they let you pick recipes ahead of time and then take care of the ingredients. I suck at planning, so having them take care of the planning so I can focus on the cooking has been awesome for me.
