Image in removed comment was the attached Palpatine image. Curious to see if the same admin mod would remove these screenshots if I crosspost them to !yepowertrippinbastards@lemmy.dbzer0.com , which they also admin and mod. Would I get a fair trial there or will my dissenting and others’ be silenced?

You can’t say you’re against disinfo if you’re knowing and intentionally promulgating it and abetting its usage. They also didn’t even remove the Reddit watermark.

This is why I don’t assign identities unto myself, because you criticize one action done wrong by leaders of an ideology or movement and bam! you’re shut out of it completely. They’ve lost the aid of an ally and progress is impeded by being shorted a participant trying to correct the course.

  • They clearly don't see what is ironic about using AI to make anti-capitalist memes. An AI meme stolen from Reddit, at that. It's the new Che Guevara T-Shirt.

    But db0 is also extremely pro-AI if you haven't already figured that out.

    • reminds me of the whole “ironic they’re using laptops to protest capitalism and slave labor” stuff…
      the real problem with this is it’s meaningless trash… the picture does not represent billionaires blaming immigrants, it’s a guy in 1950’s attire pointing somewhere, and some money… some of it with 0’s on it… and some black goopy stuff which….
      i dunno the picture does not make sense, and the sentiment has been used in quality art many times… so why post an absolutely meaningless image instead?
      a good artist could use AI tastefully, as a base for their art, and come up with something good.
      but with no vision, skill, or even thought put into it, it’s just slop. They just wrote some prompt with the text and went with whatever seemed cool at first glance…. that’s why it’s slop.

      do you think some anti-capitalist revolution should only use guns from iron ore they mined, smelted and designed themselves? Or should they use whatever tools they can get their hands on? When they seize the means of production should they burn it all down and start over? or repurpose it? (appropriating maybe?).

      if anything it’s poetic to use AI to fight the creators of AI… unfortunately, they’re just using to make slop that drowns out actual good art, and dilutes the meaning.
