Correct me if I'm wrong, but is this implying they're planning on using the military against civilians?
- They scrape the lettering off of the tanks that say "military" and they'll say "police" now.
- At the very least it means more APCs/MRAPs in the hands of local police, at the worst, yes military police enforcing god knows what.

Aggressive crime prosecution involves showing up 40 minutes late and in riot gear to take a GTA report and go “that sucks”.

A serious message to all Americans:
Start planning for the worst. Buy and learn how to use a firearm. Get all your passports and documentation up to date and on hand in case you need to flee. Do not give them an excuse to deny your exit from the States as they will do this if your papers aren't all in order. Save up money in a foreign currency, learn a second language if you only know English.
Do whatever you need to do in order to be able to flee the country. It might sound like fear mongering, but it is better to be safe than sorry.

This is probably gonna be unpopular, but as someone from the global south I can't help but feel just the tiniest bit of glee to see Gringos suffer a bit of what they have inflicted on our countries.

If people cannot depend on due process, the only obvious alternative is force. This is what they are preparing for.

Carabinieri are uniformed agents, like a second police force that's under the control of the ministry of defence, rather than the ministry of internal affairs, and while they are military, and may serve on military missions abroad wearing camo, they DON'T wear camo on normal duty, just search Carabinieri in your image search of choice and you'll see.
  We do have camo wearing people acting as police forces, something they introduced a few years ago (I want to say 10 but I don't remember) but those are actually soldiers, and they're always under the command of an actual agent.
