Polievre's most difficult political hurdle

I think that the conservatives after losing are going to have to reflect on their image. Nobody connects with a talking head in a blue suit who doesn't seem to like anything about Canada or exist as a person which PP does, and that's why Harper is barely a memory as well. I am not wild for Trudeau but at least he had a personality and some fire to him. I loathe Doug Ford but people find him relatable, and that's his background in municipal politics I think. Mulroney had a personality. PP is just a TV screen full of fuzz personality wise.

Maggie Haberman of the New York Times once said that the way Trump can go into a room and charm everyone in it is strangely genius. That's why he wins, people who don't feel a connection to conventional politicians feel like there's finally someone like them they can connect with. Of course he's a narcissist and a lunatic and manipulating them all, but that's what's missing in all conventional conservative politicians in Canada, they're almost interchangeable, forgettable, and if they threaten the institutions of our country we value, we will drop them no matter how much we didn't like Trudeau, hold our noses and vote for a centrist senior banker white dude to preserve them, even when we don't care for him all that much either.

Jeez I wish the NDP would get it together. My kingdom for Jack Layton to have lived and governed.
