The point that the US might be able to restore manufacturing if it was automated is also absurd. Just look at the stats of industrial robots installed in the countries with the most.
Is it really apples to apples? Wonder how (un)optimized the US supply chain was compared to overseas. Also sucks that they half expect the consumer to pay double while not sacrificing a bit of margin, kinda why we as consumers don't really have the ability to vote with our wallets anymore.
Makes sense. Many people are living paycheck to paycheck and can't tank a $500 surprise bill. Maybe that's not the market for what these people are selling, but it seems to be the general state of the us.
The rich have too much money and everyone, even the rich, suffer for it
