Help a homeless disabled couple with securing next months rent (motel) and basic necessities! rent:

hello again, really hate to have to keep asking but our situation seems hopeless. my wife and i have been able to keep a motel room thanks to the generosity of a few comrades and it’s the only reason we’re still alive in our condition. i recently had surgery and have been on IV antibiotics 3x a day for the past month due to a severe bone marrow infection - the good news is it’s looking much better and I’ll be done soon!

However, a friend of ours had promised us some time ago that they’d be able to help put us somewhere more permanent - and it seems like we were just told what we wanted to hear and that the possibility of that is no longer realistic which really blindsided us and damaged the only plan we could see to get us out of this situation. The only family I’ve ever had passed away over the past year, and neither of us has any kind of real support system and we’ve been through homelessness and several abusive households over the years. We both deal with several physical and mental disabilities due to the things we’ve gone through and it makes it that much harder.

But, given enough time to recover, there is a real possibility i may be able to get a job and figure something out soon. We just need help until then with the room, food, basics, etc. our room is much more expensive to pay day by day plus the possibility of being on the street in the event we can’t come up with the money every single day, and it’s much cheaper at the monthly rate.. it is $55/day, $275/week, and $650 a month. Anything helps, truly ❤️ thank you all. I know times are hard for everyone right now. Any and all solidarity and assistance is immensely appreciated.

Bit of an update: My antibiotic regimen has run its course and I’m free from infection and healed for the most part from surgery however am still in a lot of pain and probably will be for the rest of my life. however, am still doing a bit better, and am trying my hardest to find work. I do not have many clothes whatsoever, as we’ve lost almost everything we had over the past two years. any help outside of securing rent is again, immensely appreciated, so i hopefully can atleast contribute and/or take care of it myself soon.
