"We're imposing a tariff on demon-summoning mind poison... Reciprocate that, Satan!!!"
gamers rise up
but slowly, don't want to stress those atrophied legs
This is board gamers. We go to the gym and are married. Its the vidja gamers whose legs are atrophied
legitimately true of every board game i know
Been skipping leg day?
If you like your FLGS, or enjoy tabletop games, you should be thinking about what you can do to help stop the Russian backed coup that has seized power.
I'll be attending every protest I can, talking to my friends & coworkers, and calling my senators and representatives daily to demand they remove trump from power and end his illegitimate regime.
Hey, think of the bright side!
Look at your shelf. Count the games that you've never played more than once (if you've played them at all!). With the industry collapsing you'll find the time to play those games more often!

My side project is a small game company and we’re leaving the US over this. We got bit bad by the tariffs this year, probably putting us in the red.
Oh shit I didn't even think about the impact on board games. I'm not in the US but I assume a significant drop in spending from such a large market would have a global impact.
When the rich and powerful get complacent enough they forget about the whole bread and games thing.
The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants
Looking at my shelf of mostly unplayed games, many still in shrinkwrap and the rest with the counters not punched out I seem to favour eurogames.
Last American made game I got was the Battletech Mercenaries kicksstarter. But guess what! Still got Clan Invasion mostly unplayed weird flex
It should see growth as americans are forced to hide under floor boards grom the icestapo, with nothing to do but play boardgames
I should 3D print some dice!
Related: heroforge has a Kickstarter ending soon (or just ended) for balanced 3d printed dice. (With whatever you want inside)
I want (affordable) access to that printer.
With most tabletop games produced overseas, many in China, the impact could be devastating. Developers and publishers are sounding the alarm.
I mean... chase short-term cost-cutting....
Boardgames are customised and low quantity products that can't really be manufactured efficiently anywhere else. It's hardly practical for publishers to pay 2-3 times the cost to have them produced elsewhere.
