Why in all fantasy works do small people (halflings, dwarves) always cook food magnificently?

All the best food in the world comes from cultures whose people are generally short in stature. When's the last time you heard someone raving about Norwegian food?

Because they are more detailed for being so small

Because it's a fantasy. If people cooked food horribly to mediocre it'd be reality.
