From funding cuts to tariffs, farmers have found themselves struggling to find markets for their products and facing the risk of steep losses for the year ahead.

“We’re just in such a state of shock. We just don’t really even know how to respond to all this. We thought that this was sacred and really untouchable,” Gilkerson said. “Everyone thinks all farmers voted for this, but we did not vote for this.”

Let's see... In the 2024 presidential election West Virginia voted for checks notes Donald J. Trump, with just under 70% of the vote. I guess they didn't expect the leopards to eat their faces.

533,556 West Virginians did vote for this, thinking that they alone would be spared from the havoc they very well knew Trump would cause.

I’ve heard of herding cats, but a lot of these folks are farming some of their bigger cousins of the spotted variety.

- It seems many of these initiatives were never on the voting card, and many MAGA voters didn't see this coming. Trump thinks everyone voted for his 2025 agenda, but he denied knowing anything about it. Nobody expected legal immigrants to be rounded up and deported, or the gutting of USAID, the EPA or NOAA. The Kennedy Center wasn't going to be dismantled. Nobody voted to take over the Panama Canal, Greenland, or invade Canada. None of this was ever on the fucking ballot, this is just Extreme Psychological Manipulation and there is nothing remotely efficient about what they are doing.
  You have got to be kidding me. Every Democrat and progressive was telling you this was going to happen and Trump literally ran on staying he was going to do mass deportations.

- I refuse to believe anyone was legitimately stupid enough not to see this coming. Nobody could’ve been deceived this effectively unless they willingly allowed it to happen.
