The Right’s assault on education for the past half century is a massive tantrum over desegregation. The goal is to return to whites only schools, which can be done easily with privatized education.

My first read of this headline had me thinking "that's strange, gendered bathrooms are still pretty normal, they can't possibly have been banned, could they?"
...it hadn't even passed within miles of my mind that this was talking about racial segregation. I can't even comprehend this level of regression.

Segregated facilities are already illegal, including language about them in contracts is redundant, because contracts which compel illegal behavior are unenforceable.
