  • The Otome Heroine’s Fight for Survival: Volume 4 - I like my favorite murder hobo, but the setup for this arc and, as a result, large parts of the story are so forced and convoluted that it's hard for me to look past it. I am also not a fan of the yandere antagonist which got a bigger role this time around (and probably going forward).

Cooking with Wild Game: Volume 27 - It's the isekai equivalent of spring and love is in the air. At least everywhere but the main ship. But that's okay. I still love the series and all its cast, so I'm happy for them.

Zilbagias the Demon Prince: How the Seventh Prince Brought Down the Kingdom Volume 4 - Setup volume for the next big plot arc starting next volume. Noting much happening except world building and fleshing out of the characters. And the more we see of the characters, the more I'm interested in how the author will ever manage to bring this to a satisfying conclusion somehow. I mean, yes, they're on the bad side but here it shows a mother barely holding it together, looking at the stars desperately praying to the gods to bring their son back safely from the battlefield. I just don't see a version of this where people are happy with the ending. I am very happy though to report that there was an unnecessary bath illustration. God is in his heaven, all is right with the world. I got honestly scared there for a hot minute.

A Livid Lady’s Guide to Getting Even: How I Crushed My Homeland with My Mighty Grimoires Volume 5 - Super short volume. It addressed something that I complained about for one of the previous volumes, namely the willingness of MC to kill innocents to get her revenge. It's not really solved as is, but it's acknowledged as something unnatural for the character, so I'm convinced now that this is not just a plot hole. Or maybe it was a plot hole, got pointed out to the author and he's fixing it now. Either way, I'm okay with that. What I'm not okay with is that the little kid is being set up as a target for the evil antagonist organization. I have a problem with kids coming to harm and don't want to read that shit.
