All You Need Is Kill (2025, dir Kenichiro Akimoto)

After an unidentified plant arrives from outer space, Rita finds herself trapped in a time loop, forced to relive the same day over and over again. With each loop, she learns. She fights. Her memories and experiences sharpen her skills, turning her into a formidable warrior. Yet the endless cycle of death and solitude begins to wear her down. Then she meets Keiji. “I’ve been repeating this day too,” he says. Two lost souls, trapped in an endless war. Could their meeting change fate?

This film is a direct adaptation of a Japanese light novel from 2004 of the same name. If the premise sounds famaliar, this source material was also the basis for the 2014 Hollywood sci-fi action film Edge of Tomorrow (trailer).

The film is being produced by Studio 4°C, the studio behind Mind Game (2004), Tekkonkinkreet (2006), Harmony (2015), Mutafukaz (2017), Children of the Sea (2019) and Fortune Favors Lady Nikuko (2021).
