Maybe that old adage is true after all?

  • It seems to me that both liberals and conservatives have an in and out group. For conservatives it is really small: family, church members, race and the like. For liberals it is much wider but also conditioned on so many things. Once you are in the out-group of either side you are dehumanized and deserving of death, torture or expulsion.
