From a cursory overview, this study fails to take into consideration the effects of hormone treatments on transgender athletes’ performance.
- don't know details about treatments, not sure is it because some hormones and substances are forbidden in sports anyway (?)
  
  Hormone treatment for transmen and transwomen cause a partial reduction of advantage over 1 year, and increased reduction of advantage over 3 years. While this doesn’t fully level the playing field, it’s a very significant result that’s ignored entirely by this paper.
  
  I couldn’t find any studies that looked at a treatment period of over 3 years.
