Looks like my post beta purchase was worth it. Left everything default, DLSS balanced, no ray trace, no frame gen.

Lowest dip I saw was very brief high 50s going into the village.

So looks like they made good on some optimization, but room for improvement.

I still don't think it looks anywhere near good enough to need the power they're asking for. And I bet even I struggle when you throw in denuvo and more particle effects, which were not on show really at all in the benchmark.
From what I recall reading they said the optimizations would not make it into the beta, but would be on launch. Hopefully that accounts for this too
But to clarify for the betas, yes, those will not be performance optimized over the first. Just have new monster hunt options of ::: spoiler spoiler gypceros and apparently arkveld now.
I'm downloading it on my Steam Deck now. I don't think it will run, but I see now reason not to try. 🤞

Stupid month! I can't wait! I played through world again just to keep myself from going crazy waiting. Lol
I had read there's a cracked offline version of the last beta but I don't like downloading random files from a YouTube video and it's the only place I could find anything about it.

I'm definitely glad they're doing the 2 rounds of betas leading up to the release! Would be cool if they left an offline version up as a demo the whole time.
