Marx would have argued with people about the definition of a roguelike/lite

Engels I need you to top up my steam account
He'd be a hardcore ascii only roguelike player.
Hell yeah. Anything else is bourgeois decadence.
Anything else being called a roguelike is revisionism used to market games and ignores the fundamental contradictions between adventurers and dungeons
I've been on a Brogue CE kick recently and can confirm that shit is still as good as games can be
I'm imagining Marx writing a dissertation on the water economy in Caves of Qud
I wish caves of qud worked well with a controller, I do couch PC gaming and that's one roguelike I've been wanting to try
He would be a friend of Jimbo
I sometimes think about what Marx would make of the failed spartacist uprising and the successful soviet revolution. Germany was the one place where the "ideal conditions" for socialism were present - Urbanised workers, industrial, politically aware, etc. and it got crushed.
It's not like he didn't account for it, but I wonder whether that would have made him revisit some things. I'd also like to know what he'd main in smash. Then again he could be a LoL type.
Likewise I am curious about how knowledge of climate change (to the apocalyptic extent we see it) would affect his work.
if marx was alive today, he'd be, like, crazy old.
It's called the immortal science for a reason
I love rogue likes and I want more.
