Fascists: Let's destroy the part of the government that educates our people.
Also fascists: We're just smol bean megacorps that are FORCED to hire people from out of the country to find anyone competent! Why aren't native born USians educated?!? Must be because we react to sitcoms wrong.
Fucking Vivek, lol. Another Harvard undergrad, Yale law graduate finance bro complaining about there not being enough engineers in the US.
He's right up there with all the other suit wearing, ivy league chuds and podcast bros that have been telling everyone (guys, specifically) that college is a woke DEI scam and to go to trade school instead while they sit in air conditioned offices.
This country is trying so hard to burn itself down
we're really gonna start wearing this emoji out, we should consider stockpiling replacement parts
We should hand Boeing a multi-billion dollar contract to create a cutting edge meme to use in its place that's actually a little bit worse in every way and sometimes kills you
Bruh who is gonna deal with the loans?
I've heard it said they would be punted over to the treasury
mashallah
Also all college accreditation is done through some form of the DOE committees.
looked up the rep, this guy has tried this twice before
It's been referred to committee, who knows it if it will make it back out. I'd say that I don't expect it to come to a vote, but I'm not making any predictions at this point. I mean the Republican party has been trying to get rid of public school for some time.
American politicians having the 8 year old boy brainpan again.
Man, isn't Kansas still suffering pretty hard from all their education cuts in the Brownback era? I'm sure this won't be like a larger scale, worse version of that
Lmao
Compared to the rest of the government, the DoEd is tiny. They make up a negligible amount of Federal employees (rounds to 0%), and have a relatively small budget (less than 2%).
Ah but if we got rid of that 2%, we could add that straight into our concentration camp budget!
DoE is the department of Energy, this is the DoEd. Other than that you're correct. (post was edited)
The overwhelming majority of DoEd-associated government employees are associated with student loans or state run programs like Vocational Rehabilitation services.
2% too many! Besides, anything that supports workers? Removing it is TOP PRIORITY! That 2% means more money to subsidize BUSINESS!
well fuck
They have been mad about the department of education ever since they were forced to integrate public schools. Like most things in America, it all goes back to hating black people if you go back far enough.
