What is Pierre Polievre waiting for?
What Bill is he trying to pass that requires him to be Prime Minister? Why couldn't he have put any legislature forward in the last 20 years?

Poilievre figured out that you don't need to pass laws to be a successful politician. All you have to do is go viral on social media for hot takes and owning the libs.

TBF they've all figured that out. He's just pretty good at it, and lucked into becoming leader right as the other party is weak.

His purpose is probably to implement as many austerity measures as he thinks he can get away with in return for financial kickbacks from the wealthy.

He wants to be PM. Like Trudeau, Harper, Martin, Chretien, and the other forty-ish people who held office. As well as Freeland, Carney, etc.
The guy isn't likeable, and I think his policy positions are bad for the country, but wanting to be PM isn't a bad thing.

Absolutely fucking nothing. Neither Trudeau nor Pollievre have any real policy proposals that they want to get through.

Trudeau has had many policies, just not necessarily as many as he promised or the ones you want. Poilievre has always just been a time waster, with only complaints and no ideas of his own. His trick is to be that guy who tells everyone else they're doing things wrong, without ever explaining how he would do them right. Poilievre simply avoids doing serious politics.

Poilievre was a cabinet minister from 2013-2015 when Harper was PM. Given his rabid support of Harper, it'd be fair to say he was aligned on most of them.
So it'd be at least 67 bills.
Are they good policy? Are they good for Canada? Did they improve the lives of everyday Canadians? For the most part, probably not.
Of course, he has his name on one bill, so there's at least that.
But saying he's had "zero" passed is demonstrably false.
