PSA if you've got a toaster PC and want to emulate Sega Saturn, the emulator "SSF" runs well and is easy to use.

I tried Mednafen, and while it's great for PSX games my pc can't handle the Saturn emulation side without crackling audio. I also tried Kronos and that's just abysmal on my toaster. So the next best thing was SSF and it works! Runs smooth video and audio with no hiccups.

Now I can play Fighters Megamix and Virtual Hydlide!

  • I tried a couple of Saturn emulators some time ago but wasn't a fan of how primitive the UIs were. After being spoiled by emulators like PCSX2 I bounce pretty hard off anything that doesn't have a Qt-like interface. I think I ended up just using some Retroarch core- Retroarch is also a mess but at least you can make it look like a PS3 which is cool
