Four years after launching a push for more diversity in its ranks, McDonald’s is ending some of its diversity practices, citing a U.S. Supreme Court decision that outlawed affirmative action in college admissions.

McDonald’s is the latest big company to shift its tactics in the wake of the 2023 ruling and a conservative backlash against diversity, equity and inclusion programs. Walmart, John Deere, Harley-Davidson and others rolled back their DEI initiatives last year.

You mean a corporation never actually cared about social issues and just does what is seen as overall more profitable for the time?

It's interesting how quickly these companies are sensing the environment is safe for them to do this.
I hope no one forgets this betrayal of humanity.

- It can be two things.

I don't care about McDs in any way except for them to disappear entirely, but seriously - whoever's in their PR department is either unhappy, overworked, or possibly missing. All the McD's stories lately are Not Good.

Now is the time to see which corporations really want diversity.
- None the answer is none all they want is money with money on top of that money, they do what think will bring them money and with fascist in power diversity won't do that

I quit eating McDonald’s ages ago. What a trash establishment both in food quality and in policy.

I don’t remember the last time I ate their shitty food. It’s at least been a decade and I have no real memory of the experience.
The only time I visited one since then was to use their bathroom and only their bathroom. Thanks I guess.
