Trans Megathread for the Week of December 30th, 2024 to January 5, 2025 - The Summer Hikaru Died

Here's to a new year! Here's my first mega try (also first time posting in a while due to reasons) but heya! Admittedly struggled a fair bit with self doubt and anxiety on this one as put it off for a while/other things caught up with me but I figure I'll be glad I did it once I've done it. It's kinda being done last minute though, so admittedly there's that...

I'd been intending to make the mega about something else originally when I signed up, but that would require more time on my part (and I just binge read this recently, so it all works out). Anyways, my subject of the week is The Summer Hikaru Died; it's a queer (BL) horror manga which is currently also scheduled for anime release next year (2025).

Content warnings naturally follow and further details will be spoilered.

Anyways, I should cut myself short at this (and make sure to have something properly written beforehand for next time). But anyways, thus far it's a strong recommend (if you feel alright with the content warnings) from me.

  • Read a 550k fanfic in 6 days.

    The start was rough but by the end it was excellent, written over the course of six years, so improvement was to be expected.

        Anyways uhh.... well Steam recommended Mice Tea, I have so many of these Wayhaven type games on my account that it reccs all porn games to me now because Steam doesnt see a difference between heartfelt queer romance and 3d wonky animation fucking.

        I've been reading? these choice of games since "Choice of Robots", which is a fun game about potentially creating a murderbot or a robot that can love and then seeing USA taken over by China, so stuff like Wayhaven was on my radar for a bit. They have a forum filled with wips, and some of them even get finished!

        it's mostly just putting in the hours into the mindfuck factory called the internet

            well... no, it's tag based mostly... i think.

            so if your wonky 3d doll fucking has a male gaze lesbianism the game can get the lgbtq+ tag. and if not that then being a "visual novel" dating sim will definitely give it the romance tag. i think sex itself is a tag and that's insanely large category.

            some of these choice of games/hosted/heart's choice get frisky and get tags accordingly.

              I'd only really vaguely heard of the concept of some things you've brought to this mega, I will probably finally finish up Wayhaven 3 when pt4 comes out because that shit rules. You do good nerd shit ✨
