I keep telling my damn bank this too...they demand my cellphone for sms 2fa. I am constantly telling them to fuck off, and allow me to use my own authentication apps.
Nope...they won't even consider it because..hell if know. I basically can't do any banking on my phone anymore, and soon enough desktop. Their in branch hours are like 10-3..it's absurd.
They are literally preventing me from doing anything with them because they want unsecure methods to say they are doing something. They really don't give a damn

What bank (or actually credit union) uses Fido or TOTP for second factor?
