Just meet an 86 year old Vietnam veteran with 2 Purple Hearts, and he said "Platoon" 1986 was the movie that best portrayed his Vietnam experience.

I saw it when it came out, in a theater. When the movie ended you could not hear anyone, nobody moved and when we exited, the silence was eerie. I was exhausted. The movie is intense+

When I was 3-4 years old I would rent this movie every weekend. I have no fucking idea why my parents let me watch this all the time.
10 2 ReplyIf my 3 year old was going out and renting a movie on their own, I probably wouldn’t stop them from watching it either.
They did a big boy job and deserve that treat.
