So did the Pixelfed app just never materialize? It seems like all work shifted over to this Loops app.

The pixelfed app is in beta, but you can use it. In my experience it's pretty unstable right now

Yeah, I just got the TestFlight access to Loops and itβs janky. A useable web UI would go a long way.

A LOT of what I use social media could be classified as brands.
Game Grumps is a youtube show. I'm excited they're on bluesky.
The Cleveland Guardians are a baseball team in the MLB. I'm excited they're on bluesky.
You could classify them as brands. They use social media to promote themselves, and I use social media to interact with those brands that isn't available otherwise.

You're supposed to be celebrating the more widespread adoption of federated software and a break away from centrally controlled corpo environments in general. This is the public retaking the internet for themselves.
If you don't like the particular content, cool, don't go there. I don't go on Mastodon either but I can appreciate why it's there.
