Lmao generalise that attitude and trust me you throw away half of the papers out there.
For real. Academics are some of the most prolific pirates I’ve ever met. Usually out of necessity because we don’t pay them reasonably or value their work.
And when there is money it's often earmarked in ways that severely restrict its use for, e.g., paying for software
