Like holy shit, I told everyone who asked that Trump would probably win, and I spent 0 minutes looking into the issue. Imagine this is your main job, you're a grown ass adult, and you're still doing idealism so hard.

I once told Vaush he should stop attacking tankies because it was going to end very badly for him.
He essentially told me to fuck off. We made enough_vaush_spam and all the anti-vaush bots the following week then put the work in to spread them around, the subreddit blew up very fast because people in the real left were really really eager to fuck him over.
That was stupid, but it pales in comparison to how stupid it was of him to show his pedo lolicon folder on stream. We could never hope to damage him as much as he damages himself.
That was the last sub I really participated in before I left reddit. One of his cultists got big mad and would follow me around to different threads to try and water down "You know he threatened to SA someone who he said looked like a loli right?"
What I've learned from this election is that reading polls makes you worse at predicting election results
The weird thing is that all the liberals in question were reading the polls and explaining why they think the polls were wrong.
The same goes for the previous elections. The most important elections of all time have very predictable outcomes at this point.

I understand a lot of points in general overestimation of how the election would go. 2022 midterms suggested abortion could drive more dem turnout in particular. So i get expecting it to be close, and thinking dems had a chance. But damn that prediction! Pure wish casting. Emma was coconut pilled hard
It did seem like Harris was going to win early on in her campaign, around when she picked Tim Walz and seemed like she was trying to make a leftward turn.
