With Minetest now called Luanti, a fresh release is out bringing work towards getting things renamed along with some new features and fixes.
i had tried to mess around with it on my steam deck at one point but there's not much in the way of controller support, sadly.
but I hope the project does well.
6 0 ReplyThis is a real deal-breaker. I just wish there was a Minecraft clone for PC with mods and controller support and split screen.
I know there are ways to do this, but it's not something my kid will be able to deal with.
3 0 Replyyeah I just went back to modded minecraft, unfortunately. oddly enough I can get steam input to work perfectly for controller for that.
no idea why minetest seemed to struggle so much.

I also tried at one point, but gave up because I couldn't get the set up I had made for it to work. This was maybe less than a month ago. I hope for gamepad support in the future so that I can finally have voxelibre (formerly mineclone2) on deck without fiddling with the controller settings at all.
2 0 ReplyHmm, did you try this? https://blog.rubenwardy.com/2022/12/02/minetest-steam-deck/#controls
