A gentle reminder to not blame your allies today. The only person you should blame for Harris's loss is Kamala Harris (and maybe Joe Biden).

  • Blame the Democratic party and Joe Biden. They didn't put anyone serious up during the primaries against him, they held out from replacing Biden until the last minute and then they lumped Harris with his campaign and no time.

Biden should have stood aside last year (as many voices pushed for), and then the party's bets and brightest should have been given the chance to be the candidate. It might have been Harris, who knows, but whoever it was would then have had the whole of 2024 to establish a narrative and tackle Trump.

And maybe a freshcandidate could have broken through on the most important topic to voters: the economy.

    • It's wild how for months leading up to the election there were reports and reports on how the economy is doing great. People who pointed out that they weren't seeing it personally were belittled as not understanding the big picture. And now this election was lost because of economy - one side that I guess didn't say too much about what could improve (there was a lot on Harris' site and policies about it, but I guess that was too much for voters). And the other side who said the same thing as before, "going to have a beautiful economy, the greatest ever seen. No one knew it could be so good."

Well, let's do another four years, see what burns down this time.

  • And Americans say where they lived is primarily based on climate change, but then move to the worst areas for climate change. I don't give two shits what people say.
