2 passes. Face lather. Excellent shave.
Today is picture perfect in Maryland. Time for Hiatus. This is more of a summer scent, but it fit perfectly for today. The Le Grelot was my first modern razor purchase and it is still a pleasure to use. Excellent weight and balance in this razor.

For today's Wedgeday shave, I brought back the little Spike. This wedge is so small that it's light enough to not have that feeling of inevitability heavier cleavers have. As a result, it has great tactile feedback without the audible feedback of a hollow ground. It's a fun break from big hollow grounds like a dirt bike is a fun break from a nice car.
My first shave with Pomona gave great results, but I think it gave me a bit of frag burn while it was on my face. I've had this happen with a couple of other soaps as well (Stirling Barbershop and the bit I tried of PAA Bay Rum before trading it away).
I'm wondering whether my skin may be sensitive to cinnamon or clove. There must be some shared ingredient contributing to this.
I plan to give it another shot with Pomona later this week or next since I enjoy the scent. But unfortunately, this might not ultimately be one for me. :(
Frag burn stinks. I don't think Pomona burned me, but Stirling Barbershop did. I've had other scents give me a burn/tingle, but nothing like Stirling Barbershop... that was really bad.
