Paul Pelosi, the husband of former House Speaker and current California Rep. Nancy Pelosi, sold 2,000 shares of Visa a few months before the company was sued by the government.
Are you the only one in here who bothered to look? I saw your comment and decided to look, too, and unless I'm reading this wrong, you're right and I don't understand the point of this story.
Republicans are obsessed with pelosi owning stocks as if she’s the only person in Congress who does it. I guess it takes the heat of everyone else… I read a list of the top 10 stock owners and profit makers in Congress, one of course the top ones were republicans.
Disguised Republican propaganda, there hasn't been a year where Pelosi was number one since people started keeping an eye on her moves and she's always getting beat by a bunch of Republicans no one cares about.
I’m a democrat and get tired of this woman prancing around doing whatever the fuck she wants. Why can congress, or close family, even be allowed to own stock? Of course this bullshit will keep happening and nothing will be done about it.
These people need to be set to higher standards than this.
If jimmy carter sold his peanut farm so there wouldn’t be any self interest optics while he was president, these congressmen can wait it out until they are no longer serving the public interest
Honestly, I don't know. It feels like the US has very much stopped investigating political and corporate corruption, at least with any meaningful repercussions.
Is anyone surprised anymore? Wasn't she the one who didn't let a bill, that prevent them from investing, from passing? Politicians don't care anymore. They do illegal things in plain site sight because they know people won't do shit. Bitch has been getting re-elected since 1676
