I’m moving from iPhone to a pixel/graphene. I currently have an Apple Watch and got into the habit of leaving my phone on my desk (WfH) and relying on the watch to let me know if I get a notification.
I don’t really want/care about fitness tracking or even responding to messages and calls. Is there a watch/bracelet that will just alert me to a notification?
I came across bangle.js 2 when searching for PineTime info. Same idea, but more expensive (~twice the price for me in Canada), a little better hardware, and supposedly a larger developer/userbase.
I don't know too much about it; curious if folks here have opinions.
im daily driving the pinetime on a postmarketos phone. it is glorious. but you kinda need to want to stick it to the man for maximum pleasure because thats whst youre doing. thats how it feels to me anyway.
Similar question: Android smart watches only connect to one phone. I like receiving silent notifications on my watch from my android phone. However I also have an Apple phone for work and would like a ring or some other small wearable (not a second watch) to receive notifications from my Apple phone.
Most do, but I’d prefer something that isn’t going to negate all the privacy I’m aiming for with something like graphene. Fitbit is owned by google, I would guess they’re pulling plenty information from those devices
