The new record beats the previous figure - set back in August 2016 - and has been put down to a combination of climate change and an emerging El Nino weather pattern.

To be honest, seal clubbings is the least of our worries atm :p
If anything, they should get their clubbing in whilst they can because habitats are being destroyed at an alarming rate.
So until ~2030 then? 😅
