Update from Harriette on discord this morning (in my time zone). She also posted to the microblog section in this magazine, if anyone hasn’t checked that yet.
Last thing I saw was her saying she was taking a break. That was about 3 weeks ago. No word since. Though the public beta version of the app is still going strong. Functional enough to be my daily driver.
I had been wondering as well. I have been using the app with an alt account since 0.1.7 but never joined the Discord so no news.
Then again it seems like the /kbin API is still in testing as I never saw an update on that front either.
Could also just be a summer slouch as everone is on vacation perhaps? Certainly hope interest in /kbin and Artemis hasn't faded.
In the last week a bunch of the API PRs have been merged into the mainline branch. There's still a few to go (and I imagine a lot of testing / refactoring after), but at least seems promising that the work is still in progress
I'm on android still on ver 2308.20.17.42. When I click 'check for updates' in Artemis app, all I see is 'up to date'. So how do I install the new update?
Aren't we just waiting for the kbin instances all to update to enable the API? Her instance that the app runs on right now is on a beta that enables the API.
I’m seeing an uptick of crashing when scrolling which is the main annoyance. It’s a TestFlight so I understand and I’m constantly submitting bugs. But Artemis is what I’m holding out for as my main Fedi app. Unfortunately it can’t be my daily driver in its current state.
Also, I know this is a nice to have feature request, but man would it be nice to be able to block users (unless I’m missing something).
Though I note @Hariette (at least in the original post) does not seem to be a valid link, while I suspect @hariette will work just fine. Weird. Let’s see if I’m right.
