Not a particularly interesting article necessarily, but I wanted to share this as the list is actually quite good in my opinion, and it's laid out very nicely. It's one page that's very easy to scroll through. Might find some things you havent played!
I can appreciate a website making a list like this rather than putting five games to a page to garner more clicks! I definitely have different tastes than the reviewers though, which is fine.
Civ VI instead of Civ V? List automatically invalid.
Jokes aside it's an interesting list and I like the idea of ranking based on "what's best to play right now" instead of by historical significance or some futile attempt at objective apples-to-apples quantification - even though at the end of the day I think I neither agree with the selection nor the ranking. But there are plenty of good games on there with solid reasons of why to play them in their descriptions, so it's a good read nonetheless.
Yeah, I would put V in there as well! I still don't like VI nearly as much, even though I've played it quite a few times.

I like this list, but how is Diablo IV on there as the sole representation of an ARPG, it's so bland.

Yes it's a great game and I would have liked to see it above D4, I would easily put Last Epoch and Path of Exile ahead too.
I always thought that Grim Dawn was no longer being developed on as the devs were working on a new game, but they keep pumping out patches and content.

Strange to see a game like Nex Machina on the top 10, but I appreciate Eurogamer providing unique and surprising picks. Funny to see Outer Wilds and Tetris Effect in the top 5 - makes me think Eurogamer might be staffed with more than a few old Giant Bomb fans.
Outer wilds deserves the number 1 spot and I will not hear otherwise 😤

Many agree with you! I personally bounced off of it, but I don't know if I gave myself to it completely when I played.

Neat! I would love to find something similar but for more obscure games. Having Errant Signal dropping some great suggestions in their videos is great, but other than that I can't find any outlets covering these sort of games very frequently.
Can someone post the list? They don't have an option to reject cookies.
There must be a mistake, Fallout: New Vegas with 80 mods isn't on here. I'll have to write a letter to the editor.
