Sucks. After the disaster that was my mainboard I decided its my last ASUS product.
Sorry to hear, I've never had a bad experience even with a 3070.
oof, what was wrong with it?
They had an issue where the mainboard was destroying the new 7950X3D cpus and handled it terribly:
Eh, I'll very thoroughly look up customer reviews outside amazon before buying anything from Asus. I have a GL702 laptop that heats up like a fucking stove, has the flimsiest cooling system and, to top it off, causes intense screen tearing when running hot. I keep expecting the screen to die from excessive heat exposure any time I'm playing.
My dad and aunt have used Zenbooks and Vivobooks for years without issue. Maybe the ROG lineup aren’t as durable?
Everything I've purchased from Asus for the last 10 years has been absolute garbage. HP and Dell are better.
That's right, I said it.
Asus used to be good. These days I'm not so sure.
I have the same model. It crashes all the time due to some kind of cpu bug. Also sleep mode stopped working after linux kernel 5.10. Asus, never again.
Can't wait for their bloated armoury crate to install on my computer as soon as I launch it.
Considering they’re basically doing that with their Chromebox line, it is not that big of a surprise.
I hope they consider cheap models especially arm based. not just "gamer" crap
