As the US invasion of Iraq, the Russian invasion of Ukraine and Israel’s indiscriminate and disproportionate onslaught on Gaza demonstrate, however, it is also often the most powerful nations that violate the most important principles of international law.

I hope we see Israeli leaders in chains during my lifetime. But I’m not naive enough to be optimistic about it.
