I recently saw a tourism ad for Ottawa, the capital city of Canada, which touted unique and exciting activities like getting a manicure and going out for drinks as highlights of the experience.
- Did the ad mention how Parliament Hill, the only thing really unique to Ottawa, has been effectively closed for many, many years due to construction?
  
  Which makes Gatineau, just across the river, arguably a more interesting place to visit.
  
  There's still the Rideau canal and the museums.
- I mean, it's Ottawa, what else are they gonna talk about haha.
  
  At the risk of sounding like a butthurt Ottawa native, there are many fun things to do we just don’t advertise anything anyone under 50 would enjoy lmao.
  
  I do enjoy the prevailing meme of it being a super boring place, helps keep the riff raff at bay lol.

I don't get this one
At first I ate the onion on that headline, assuming they were talking about some particular exotic vegetable.
They make good garnish, but their lack sugar, salt, and saturated fats makes them a poor meal choice.

I'm b4 "typical American." I mean you'd want to die of heart disease too if you had our sorry excuse for healthcare.
