Swiss watchmaker Swatch sues Malaysia for seizure of Pride watches
Swiss watchmaker Swatch Group has filed a lawsuit against the Malaysian government for confiscating rainbow-coloured watches that celebrate LGBT rights, in an act the company says has damaged its reputation.
Imagine being afraid of a rainbow watch. What if you walk through some refracted light? Straight to jail?
In the run up to the elections, Anwar has again been accused by critics of not doing enough to protect the rights of Muslims in multi-racial, multi-faith Malaysia.
So basically the "progressive" incumbent Malay government is posturing as "see, we don't support gay rights" ahead of the elections to win back some of the conservative Muslim votes.
Once again the transparent scam of organized religion just has to scapegoat an easily identified out-group so that con-men in funny clothes can rise to power by pretending to restore "social order".
Are they also going to ban the moments after rain showers when sun passes through and creates rainbows?
