  • is it only a Perth thing to do icecream in winter

I dunno about Perth, but it's definitely not a me thing. Damn place is cold enough this time of year without consuming pure coldness.

That said, I'm big on cookies and cream or mango swirl. But not for the next 4 and a bit months.

  • Been a bit partial to vanilla icecream with one of those mini nonnas apple pies lately. If i'm feeling adventurous, a bit a custard to.

  • I never really stop buying icecream through the winter. Demand for Streets Blue Ribbon vanilla ice cream or those generic brand Cornetto knock offs is fairly consistent in this house.

  • I love ice cream, and a 1l or 2l tub is lucky to make it past 2 days.

But I struggled with my last tub. It's the first time I can remember that I went 'Nah, I don't want any. It'll be too cold and just unpleasant'. I could only bring myself to eat it at lunchtime.

And now I've actually stood in front of the fridge at the supermarket and gone 'Brrrr, no I'm not buying that. It'll be cold'.

Somebody help me. I'm now literally softer than ice cream sitting in the sun on a summer's day 😢
