I think it was a french writer who said "France is a paradise, populated with people who think it's a hell".

Because it isn't the place that is the problem, it are the people.
And France is full of French people.

  I currently live in france and can confirm. Full of french people speaking french. I told my kids that it's a made up language and everybody is actually just pretending that they understand what each other is saying.

  I'm american... not mad at france. Because I'm not a weirdo republican who considers them effeminate for some weird reason. I was making an assumption based on experience that not many of those types are on Lemmy. At least not in the communities I haven't blocked.
