Buckminster Fuller predicted Bitcoin in 1967: “By the year 2000, there will be a realistic, scientific accounting system. Wealth is not gold of pirates. Wealth is energy.”

Yeah, most money today is just digital data being moved around, but I don't think that's the point Fuller was making.

He wasn't just talking about digital currency. He was talking about a completely new system of wealth based on energy rather than traditional fiat currencies or gold.

Bitcoin and blockchain are decentralized. They're outside of the control of central banks, which is what Fuller was envisioning. What he predicted goes deeper than just electronic transactions.
