Looking for good mind mapping software
I've used Freemind for a long time, but I'm wondering if there is a recommendation for a more modern version of this? Trying to install on my new PC, it claims me version of Java is old.

Dunno it's what you're looking for, I use canvas on Obsidian. Works for me and you can link files
Oh, I already use Obsidian. Is canvas an add-on to it?
I think it was but is now built in
