We are also the same ethnicity, it's sectarian. Foreigners not getting this makes us think you are ignorant of the situation.
First, it’s Hamas collectively punishing its own people by not playing by the rules of war themselves and taking civilian hostages. It’s not based on ethnicity, like Hamas’ charter’s call to eradicate all Jews is based on ethnicity. This has to do with a population who, in 2006 decided to democratically elect a designated terrorist grouping to be their government. They are reaping what they have sowed.
