Ok, I caved and bought it and will be going to pick it up after work.

You brought the pro.... why would you buy the pro? Stuff paying extra for a disc drive just so sony dont screw you on the PSN store.

Tbh that disc drive thing is a huge strike against the pro. Extra 160 plus the extra 300 on top for the pro. It adds up.
I'm open to being convinced the normal one is better for sure.

I need to ask. If you were to connect your ps5. What will you be connecting it up to and what would the resolution of the monitor or tv?
Does visual fidelity bother you much or frame rates?
It's going to a 75inch 4ktv 60hZ.
I don't think it would make a huge difference. Even with the capability, it will be a long time until enough games take advantage of it to justify it I think.
Maybe in 12 months I'll trade it in, but there is literally nowhere to buy a disk drive for the pro atm which does lock me into only using the plays ration store.
I haven’t looked into it took much apart from when it was announced and it was discussed by people.
I’m not sure what the improvements are going to be like with the Pro to be honest but the impressions initially weren’t great. It was nailed hard because of how expensive it was going to be combined with having to buy a disc drive and maybe possible a stand.
