Maybe the deadliest single enemy ever? That goomba has taken more lives than nearly any other game character.

Them, too, but Pac-Man has aged a lot better so I'm willing to bet more people have been playing it throughout the years.

In absolute numbers, yes, but surely something has to be deadlier (# of deaths / # of apperances). That would actually be a fun thing to figure out.
