- Help with women's clothes!
Hello :)
I just started shopping for women's clothing, mostly pants. I am AMAB, but I'm on the smaller side. I'm 5'7, 135lbs with a 28in waist. I like my clothing I be pretty tight and form fitting, but I'm not sure which department to go shopping in. I started in the Women's department, but wasn't really impressed. Would the petite or misses section serve me better fitting clothing? I was hoping to find some skinny or slim fit pants that are shorter inseam, like capris, or a little shorter :)
Any advice?
Thanks 👍
- Gender neutral and feminine leaning clothing
I want to start wearing clothes that are more feminine-leaning in terms of style, patterns and colors, but I don't want to necessarily wear clothing that is designed for women. I need some help with this because this is entirely new territory for me, and I don't have any kind of support group around me that can help me with this. Are there certain stores that are better to shop at that will help me with this? Online or brick and mortar are fine. If it helps to narrow things down, I'm 37, 5'7", 135lbs with a 28 inch waist. I always wear slim fit, small clothing. I prefer not to spend a lot of money, also :)
Everything I currently wear is masculine-leaning, but I want to find clothes that'll fit my gender fluidity better and make me feel more comfortable. I typically wear casual clothes, but I do get dressed up a couple times a year, too.
Any and all help would be appreciated.
Edit: if my location helps, I live in the Metro Detroit area

- Question regarding my status in the queer community
Okay, I was assigned male at birth, but I have questions:
-
I mostly identified as non-binary/agender, but is it possible for me to also be genderfluid in that capacity? I have felt more fluid recently, but is that generally accepted?
-
Regardless of fluidity, do I fall into the LGBTQ+ community because of my identification, or am I excluded from it?
-
Is queer a socially acceptable term to use for those in the community, or does it carry the same weight it did when I was a kid in the late 90s?
I don't have anybody in my community I can discuss this with, which is why I came here. Hopefully you all can help give me a little guidance ✌️

- North Carolina Passes 3 Anti-Trans Laws In One Day, Overriding Vetoeswww.erininthemorning.com North Carolina Passes 3 Anti-Trans Laws In One Day, Overriding Vetoes
North Carolina undertook a veto override session to pass a gender-affirming care ban, a don't say gay or trans bill, and a sports ban for trans youth all in a single day.
From the article, my emphasis added:
"Bills targeting the LGBTQ+ community remained stagnant for the initial months of North Carolina's legislative cycle. However, the landscape shifted when Democratic Representative Tricia Cotham, elected from a district which voted for her,** a Democrat, by +19points, switched to the Republican party**. This gave the GOP the crucial 72 votes required to override a governor's veto. Subsequently, these bills were promptly slated for hearings and aggressively advanced by the state's Republican leadership."

The lawsuit has cost the newspaper so much it might close.
The article points out that this republican politician and businessman, Cory Tomczyk, is suing a non-profit news site for reporting on his use of the slur towards a 13 year old boy. Although he lost his suit, he is appealing the decision. This suit has already cost the news site $150k.
How do these lawsuits not fall under SLAPP laws?

The suspect's mother said her son goes to church so he couldn't have committed the alleged anti-gay hate crime.
It could not be more obviously a hate crime. I hope they go after anyone who was shielding him or lying for him as well.

The thought of dressing femme makes me so excited and happy. But I don't always feel like that, and I might just feel completely fine being masculine... > > Am I making any sense?
